Nicki Tuttle, OTR/L

Nicki was born and raised in Conyers, GA. She attended Milligan University and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2009 and received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2011. She started her career at Duke University Medical Center and worked in a variety of pediatric settings. For the last year and a half she was at Duke, she was the primary therapist of the Obstetric Brachial Plexus Clinic located at Lenox Baker Children’s Hospital. After her husband completed seminary at Duke Divinity School, Nicki moved with her family to Albany, GA where they lived for 4 years. Nicki worked briefly in outpatient adult orthopedics before returning to outpatient pediatrics at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. In 2019, Nicki returned to the mountains of East TN to live in Kingsport with her husband and two children.

She holds many certifications and has vast experience in multiple areas within pediatrics. Her certifications and continuing education experience include:

  • The SOS Approach to Feeding Therapy

  • Beckman Oral Motor Protocol

  • Kinesio tape

  • Astronaut Training

  • iLs Integrated Listening Systems

  • Vital Links Therapeutic Listening

  • UCLA’s PEERS adolescent and young adult social skills group

  • Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT)

Nicki also has experience with upper extremity splinting, fabrication of removable casts for Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT), experience with SPIO and Theratog orthotics, and meets monthly with Vanderbilt's Tourette Syndrome Clinic Working Group. 

Nicki loves watching University of Tennessee football and Duke basketball. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, sitting on her front porch, snuggling with her dog, Dansby, and eating good food.
